“Prayer is not asking.
Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition,
and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.” ― Mother Teresa
Prayer is paramount in the formation of faith and we practice and place great emphasis on giving the students ample opportunity for prayer in daily school life. You can assist your student in learning the following prayers:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all our associates, and in particular for the intentions of our Holy Father for this month.
Prayer before meals
Bless us, Oh Lord,
and these thy gifts which
we are about to receive from thy bounty,
through Christ, Our Lord.
Prayer after meals
We give you thanks, Almighty God, for all Your benefits, who live and reign,
world without end. Amen.
May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God,
rest in peace. Amen.
End of the day prayers
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because
I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell;
but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and
deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve,
with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins,
to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
We also have many special occasions throughout the school year including Stations of the Cross during lent, holy hours, and rosaries. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to come pray alongside their student!
